Westmorland and Furness Design Code Survey 2024
Overview
About the Design Code
This survey is designed to collect views on the future Westmorland and Furness Design Code. It explores design preferences, local views on development and aims to understand the different characters of places across Westmorland and Furness.
The design code will cover the Westmorland and Furness Council area excluding those parts within the Lake District and Yorkshire Dales National Parks.
The survey will take approximately 15 minutes to complete.
The survey will be open for 9 weeks, until 9 September 2024. For more information or to request an alternative format please contact: localplan@westmorlandandfurness.gov.uk
Further opportunities to share your views will be available and you can read more about those and the design code project on the project page.
Why your views matter
It’s important for local people to share their views on the Design Code because once adopted the document will be used to help shape developments in the future. It’s crucial that the Design Code team can make sure the Design Code is both technically fit for purpose and reflects local views.
Sharing your views can help to tell us about local priorities for development and building and make sure we have local knowledge. The Design Code covers a large area, so local knowledge of the different places in the district is crucial to get the Design Code right for the people of Westmorland and Furness.
